Research on formal and informal care use in Canada presented

Afshin Vafaei gave a presentation in the session ‘Navigating integrated and transitional care’ at the Canadian Association of Gerontology Conference on 22 October 2021. The presentation reported findings from a novel analysis of predictors of formal and informal care use among older adults in Canada based on data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA). It is based on the FutureGEN paper, titled “Despite universal medicare: variation in home care use among Canada’s older adults. Recursive partitioning of the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging” which is currently under review.
